Well, there is no single ideal frequency for learning Dutch. Everything depends on each person's individual situation. We all have different goals, desires, and possibilities. Everyone must first determine for themselves what they want to achieve by learning Dutch online and what they are willing to sacrifice for it.
Let me be clear. After your working hours and family life, there are many other fun things to do besides learning Dutch. A general rule that applies to everything, of course, is that the more effort you put into something, the better the result. The same goes for learning a new language. Personally, I think that twice a week is a good average. Unlike memorizing something, a language needs to be maintained, and that can only be done by practicing regularly. If you want to learn more and/or faster, for example, because of a necessity at work, you can do it 3 or 4 times a week or even more. If you want to do less and it is just to maintain your language skills, you can do it once a week. What is important, however, is that continuity in learning a language is crucial.
Everyone has their own goals when having Dutch Lessons online!
That's why I have tried to include something for everyone in my online Dutch lesson offerings. The boost lessons are for faster and more intensive improvement. The individual lessons are more for addressing specific goals, such as preparing for an integration course 'inburgeringscursus' or an exam. The group lessons provide more interaction with other students in similar situations and help maintain your Dutch language skills. So, there is something for everyone.
And if you have any other ideas or goals, please let me know, and we will try to accommodate them if possible.
